Save for a Rainy Day!
29/05/15 14:41
Ever have one of those days when you do not really know what you are doing or why you are doing anything? The feeling that you are just beating your head against the wall? Over the 30 years of work here in Germany we occasionally have those days…..or weeks…uhhh months.
This last week we got papers back from a woman in our church who is helping with the translation of the kids Sunday School material for the The Story. She gave back the the English pages and translation and as we were looking at them we saw she had filled out one of the papers, a picture and a sentence.
She has been attending church or talking with us since 2008. She went from atheist/agnostic to cynic, to questioning, to open but skeptical, to a believer who was not totally sold out, to a servant of the Lord. We baptized her over a year ago. She has grown so much over the years, learning through love and the school of hard knocks.
What she filled out for us was so good for our hearts because that is why we are here and a confirmation that although things are slow, God is using us. Things like this we save for those dark and gloomy days when we are not sure what we doing here.
